The municipal enterprise "Apokoronas Development SA", registered 37990/73/B/10, was founded in 1997 by amending and supplementing the Statute of the hitherto existing APOKORONOU DEVELOPMENT AGENCY SA.
Shareholders in the enterprise are the local authorities of the province of Apokoronas.
The objectives of the enterprise are:
- Investigation, recording and assessment of needs, problems, opportunities and growth prospects of the Apokoronas province,
- Encourage and support actions aiming to the social, economic and cultural development of the province,
- Providing advice and technical support services for the development of the province,
- The planning and implementation of Leader initiative or any other program or initiative of the European Union that could contribute to the integrated development of the Apokoronas province.
To achieve these objectives, the enterpise may participate in companies or organizations and cooperate with any party, personal or legal entities pursuing similar or related purposes.
Within the European Social Fund co-financed programs, the Apokoronas Development SA implements:
